CFMP launched new course “Common psychiatric disorders for family physicians”

College of Family Medicine Pakistan, in Collaboration with IMG_4691Prof. Iqbal Afridi Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Karachi, conducted a 04 credit hour course for family physicians at the academic and research center of the college.

The course titled “Common psychiatric disorders for family physicians”. The course started on 4th February 2018. It included important topics like depression, Anxiety disorder, Sleep disorder, and workshop on approach to managing a psychiatric patient. Course was well attended by eminent family physicians of Karachi. Looking at the popularity of the course, it shall soon be offered online to family physicians and doctors across Pakistan. Dr. Serwat was the course coordinator.

The course concluded in March 2018 followed by certificate distribution to 35 family physicians who attended the course.
